The Protector

The Protector

Complete Softening + Filtration

Most popular

Best for: City water homes that want complete whole-house treatment.

Type
Combo carbon filtration + softening
Tanks
1 tank + brine
Capacity
32,000 – 48,000 grains

Honest note: Both jobs happen in a single tank. For larger homes, The Protector Twin gives each job its own tank.

Why The Protector?

Most city water homes have two problems: chemicals (chlorine and chloramines) and hardness (calcium and magnesium). The Protector solves both in one system. Instead of buying a separate filter and softener, you get complete treatment in a single tank with one valve, one drain connection, and one set of settings.

What you get

  • Removes chlorine, chloramines, VOCs AND hard water minerals
  • Two treatments in one system: saves space and money
  • Softer skin, cleaner dishes, longer-lasting appliances
  • No more chemical taste or smell from any faucet
  • Protects plumbing from both scale buildup AND chemical corrosion
  • Single tank design: easy to install and maintain
  • Automatic metered regeneration based on usage
  • Made in USA

Ideal for

  • City water homes that want complete whole-house treatment
  • Homeowners who want filtration AND softening in one system
  • Anyone looking for the best value in water treatment
  • Homes with both hard water and chlorine/chemical issues

How it works

The Protector uses a single tank with two layers of media. The top layer is premium coconut shell catalytic carbon, removing chlorine, chloramines, VOCs, and chemicals. Below that is high-capacity softening resin that removes hardness minerals through ion exchange. Water passes through both media in one tank. The system regenerates automatically using salt.

Upkeep

Add salt to the brine tank every 4–8 weeks. Carbon media lasts 5+ years. Average monthly cost: $5–$10 for salt.
