Water Testing

Everybody Offers A Free Test. Here Is What Ours Tells You.

You can get a free water test from any company in this business. That part isn’t special and we’re not going to pretend it is.

What matters is what happens after it. Most tests end with a number and a recommendation to buy the system that company happens to sell.

We run the same checks. Hardness, chlorine, iron and sulfur, plus sediment if you’re on a well. You watch us do it and the numbers are in your hand before anyone says the word quote.

Then we tell you what your water actually calls for, including the times that’s less than you came in expecting.

If you’re on Venice city water, the city already runs its own reverse osmosis plant and your hardness is lower than most of the county. We’ll tell you that, and it costs us the sale.

Free whether you buy or not. That’s not a promotion, it’s just how it works.

01

We Come Out

In your kitchen, not a sample mailed off. Hardness, chlorine, iron and sulfur.

02

You See The Numbers

Results on the spot, and what each one means for your pipes and your appliances.

03

You Decide

Including deciding on nothing. Free whether you buy or not, and no follow-up pressure.

Your Utility Does Not Publish The Number You Need

That annual report tells you what left the treatment plant. It doesn’t tell you what arrives at your kitchen sink after crossing town and running through your own pipes.

Here’s the part nobody mentions. Those reports only cover what the EPA regulates. Charlotte County’s 2024 report lists fluoride, nitrate, barium, sodium and selenium. It doesn’t list hardness anywhere, because hardness isn’t a regulated contaminant.

So the one number that decides whether you need a softener is the one number your utility never publishes.

The sources around here aren’t the same water either. City of Sarasota pulls from the Floridan aquifer at the Verna and Downtown wellfields. Venice runs reverse osmosis on brackish intermediate-aquifer wells. Punta Gorda draws surface water from Shell Creek behind the Hendrickson Dam.

Which is why we come to your kitchen instead of quoting off a map.

Frequently Asked Questions About Water Testing

Nothing. We test from a cold tap, usually the kitchen. If you are on a well it helps to know roughly how deep it is and when it was drilled, but we can work without either.

We will tell you what the numbers mean and what would fix them. If the answer is that you do not need anything, that is what you get told. There is no second visit and no call list.

We would rather run it at the tap ourselves. Water that has been sitting in a bottle reads differently than water straight out of the line, especially for iron, which changes the moment it meets air.
