Well Water Treatment in Sarasota & Charlotte County

Water Testing

Your Neighbor Gets A Water Report. You Do Not.

City customers get a water quality report in the mail every year. It’s a legal requirement on the utility.

On a private well in Sarasota, Charlotte or DeSoto County, nothing arrives. No agency tests it, no report comes, nobody’s watching.

If you’ve never had your well tested, it’s never been tested.

Wells out here rarely bring one problem. Iron comes up dissolved and looks clear, then hits the air and turns, which is the orange in your sink and your laundry. Hydrogen sulfide is the rotten egg smell, and it sits naturally in the groundwater across this part of Florida.

Hardness sits on top of both. Most wells we test come back with some mix of all three.

01

We Test

Free well test for iron, sulfur, hardness and sediment. Not bacteria, that is a separate lab.

02

We Match The Well

No two wells around here test the same. Yours gets its own build.

03

We Install

Staged equipment takes more room than a softener. We plan where it goes with you first.

Order Matters On A Well System

Iron and sulfur removal goes first. The softener sits behind it. A sediment filter goes in if your well needs one.

Run that sequence backwards and iron fouls the softener resin. That’s the step a plumber fitting a softener usually skips, and it’s why those installs fail early on wells.

One limit worth being straight about. We test for iron, sulfur, hardness and sediment. We don’t test for bacteria or coliform, and no treatment system is a substitute for that.

We build from what your test shows, not from what’s on the truck.

Frequently Asked Questions About Well Water Treatment

At least once a year, and again any time the taste, smell or colour shifts. Wells move. A neighbour drilling, a wet season, a pump repair, any of it can change what comes up. Ours is free, so there is no reason to stretch the gap.

No. Treatment stops new staining. Iron that has already set into a tub or into laundry has to be cleaned off separately, and some of it never fully comes out. The sooner the system goes in, the less you end up writing off.

Those are the wells that surprise people most. Iron comes up clear and turns later, once it hits air. Hardness has no taste at all. Nobody is checking it for you, so looking is the only way to know.
